Scared too

I had a miscarriage back in August. The doctors told me I have a bicournate uterus, but don't know if my m/c was related to that. This month I am late for my period and I am afraid of doing a pregnancy test, since I am afraid to experience another loss. My breasts don’t feel sore and the last time I got pregnant they were sore for only for a couple of days.

Please pray for me,

V,

So Scared

Hey, I'm 18 and have been against sex before marriage all my life. My parents feel very strongly about it. I just started university in October and one night when I was very drunk I had a one-night stand with a guy I don’t even know. I remember him using a condom but I don’t remember the night enough to know exactly what happened.

I’m now a couple days late on my period and dreadfully scared, my stomach has felt a little bloated and I've had cravings. I’ve ordered a pregnancy test, which should be along in the next day or so, but I am so scared. If I’m pregnant I have no one to support me. My parents will be disgusted and I don’t even know the father, and I just started university and am loving it. It would b the worst possible thing which could happen to me right now...

Terrified and Excited

I just found out that I'm pregnant. I haven't gone to the doctor yet, but have had several positive HPT's and have fatigue and tender breasts. No morning sickness yet. I have a good friend who had a miscarriage last winter and I am terrified that it's going to happen to me! (She's five months along now, by the way and doing fine.)

I haven't even had a blood test and I'm going crazy with fear. I'm about five weeks, and I can't wait until my second trimester! At least then I might feel a little more at ease. I'm so happy for everyone and praying for you all.

Hopeful

My friend got pregnant and she didn't want her baby at first. It was a surprise for her and her boyfriend. My husband and I had been trying. We finally got pregnant but then lost the baby in September 2006. (Like others I've read here.) But we waited a little and now we're six weeks pregnant again!

It's been hard on my best friend too and her attitude towards her little one has changed over the past months and she's actually due any day now! So now I have a little one to be an auntie to and I get to be a mom too. It's been a hard road but no matter how hard it's been I know that the kids are worth it.

Unplanned and Anxiety-Ridden

I am a young lady confronting a most unpleasant reality. I've found that I'm six weeks pregnant, unmarried, living in a very expensive city, and a poor working student. The father is much older than I (he's 39, I'm 21), and urging abortion; I had an abortion nearly two years ago and have a hard time imagining again undergoing such a traumatic experience.

I'm torn between this instinctive urge to grow big and give birth, something I feel which is so esoteric and personal; and the reality that I don't have much money, I am quite young, I've not progressed in my education and career and life as much as I'd like, I'm not sure I have the support of my lover (and I'm almost certain my family won't help me much), and that the United States is pathetic in the benefits and health care provided for mothers, specifically poor, single mothers. But until the revolution, I must deal with this reality.
