first pregnancyi conceived on my very first sexual act with my boyfriend and i even took morning after pill the next morning but still the pregnancy test came back positive. after the initial shock i am now exited but havent yet told my mum whom may not approve coz am not married. the morning sickness is killing me, and i cant seem to get out of bed in the morning. i wish i could get some leave from work and just sleep the whole day. my boyfriend is very supportive and i pray he will be this way for the whole 9months wish me luck in this new experience. louisa ECTOPIC ONCE, PREGNANT AGAINHI, I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT I WAS PREGNANT BY TAKING THREE HOME PRGNANCY TEST IN ONE DAY.(I NEEDED REASSURANCE) BY MY CALCULATIONS, I BELEIVE THAT I AM ABOUT 6 WEEKS. I HAVE BEEN READING ALOT OF THE STORIES POSTED ON THIS SITE. SO I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD SHARE MINE. ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO I HAD AN ECTOPIC PREGNANCY. (PREGNANCY OUTSIDE OF THE UTERUS, IN THE FALLOPIAN TUBE.) I DID NOT KNOW THAT I WAS PREGNANT UNTIL I WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL WITH EXCRUSIATING PAIN IN THE LEFT SIDE OF MY ABDOMIN. I RECEIVED A PREGNANCY TEST, AND WAS INFORMED THAT I WAS 8 WEEKS PREGNANT INSIDE OF MY LEFT FALLOPIAN TUBE. I WAS RUSHED INTO EMERGENCY SURGERY, WHERE MY FALLOPIAN TUBE WAS REMOVED. IT WAS A LONG PHYSICAL RECOVERY, AND I AM STILL TRYING TO RECOVER EMOTIONALLY. WELL IM PREGNANT AGAIN, AND VERY EXCITED, AND SCARED. IM NERVOUS THAT SOMETHING BAD COULD HAPPEN, BUT EXTREMELY HOPEFUL THAT EVERYTHING WILL TURN OUT FINE. AFTER MY SURGERY THE DOCTORS SAID THAT IT WAS A 50% PERCENT CHANCE THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE. I HAVE A STRONG GROUP OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS PRAYING FOR ME. SO EVERY THING SHOULD TURN OUT FINE. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF THE EXPECTANT COUPLES OUT THERE. I WISH YOU THE BEST IN LIFE. THANKS FOR READING MY STORY. FEBRUARY Anxious and WaitingMy last menstrual cycle was 6/18/06. I took a preg. test on 7/18 and it was negative. I did again on 8/14 and it was positive. I immediately set up an appt. with my Gyn. (he no longer delivers babies) and he thought I was 4 weeks pregnant. He referred me to a OB/GYN, who I have a scheduled appt with on 9/6.So, I've been waiting 3 weeks for this first appointment and I can't help feeling anxious. My husband & I have told noone (married 4 years) b/c we really want to get a true affirmative from the doctor first and get a real due date. Although my GYN said I was only 4 weeks, I feel I'm more like 8 weeks along. The only difference I've been having is definately mood swings, breast tenderness, and I look completely bloated. We are going on a hiking trip this weekend with 4 couple friends of ours and my husband and I are coming up with all kinds of excuses and hoodwinks to fool our friends to think that I am actually drinking. Any ideas on how I can avoid the "why aren't you drinking?" questions during a 4 day weekend? Also, did anyone out there have just the sytmptoms I've had during their first trimester? Jules Does conception date matter?Just found out I was pregnant about a week ago now. Have since made best friends with the nurses in Urgent Care, apparently I live there. First it was because of cramping on my left side, then because of back pain. They tested me and found a urinary tract infection but still sent me to get an Ultrasound just in case. The ultrasound found nothing, not even a gestational sack, which worried the radiologist. I was back in Urgent Care again. The radiologist said that it was "highly unlikely" that I wasn't far enough along, but then the doctor said "I just think you are too early pregnant." Or... "a little bit pregnant."THEN I got a yeast infection from the antibiotics. I still have lower back pain and pain when I get up from being in bed. (A dull pain that lasts all the time). And now they are freaking me out again, calling me and saying I have to come in for ANOTHER ultrasound next week (will be 12 days after my first ultrasound) because they are "concerned." I'm just freaking out on a regular basis, am I pregnant or not? Am I having a problem or not? Is there a baby in there or not? Does the conception date matter at all in what would be the age and size of the fetus? My husband and I sat down and figured out probable conception dates and it put the actual age of the fetus at like 3 weeks! Does that matter? They keep telling me that I'm at least 7 weeks pregnant! Gina Fingers CrossedMyself anf my hubby have been trying for a baby for 2 years. We did a lot of tests and found out tht I do not ovulate regularly. Finally after 2 failed clomid sessions, I didnt get my periods last month. I was so nervous and excited. I did a preg test at home and it came out positive, but when we went for an U/S the doc couldnt see anything. She said it looks like I am pregnant but it might be tubular. She told me to get a blood test and come back the next day to abort the baby as it is dangerous for me. Went home and cried my eyes out while my husband looked on helplessly. Poor guy!!Anyway, went back the next day and my doc seemed like a totally diff person. She said the blood test was positive and that the HCG count was good and that maybe it was too early to see my sac. I am going for a check up tomm. I am so nervous. I have no symtoms of pregnancy - just tender breats and gas. I am so scared that when I go tomm, she will tell me that I am not pregnant or that my pregnancy has to be aborted. Please pray for us. I would love to hold my baby in my hand and even though my husband keeps telling me it is not important I know he wants it too.
