Diflucan can cause Miscarriages!

Hi this is in reply to Leslies post called Mania. I didn't know if you realized but there have been many instances of Diflucan and other anti-fungal drugs causing miscarriages during the first trimester.
Diflucan is very hard on the liver and can cause liver failure in a fetus as well.. It's best to look into and do your own research before you decide to take something even if it's prescribed by your doctor.. They are not God and don't know everything.. I knew two people who had miscarriages because of taking this drug and now some doctors are more careful about prescribing it during the first trimester. So I hope that helps give you some insight into what may have caused your miscarriage. I'm not saying that was the exact cause but it's good to be more aware of what you take during pregnancy.. Also the fact that they didn't even test you for yeast makes me wonder about the doctor. Good luck next time around, and hope this helps others also during their pregnancies. I believe you should always be aware, cautious, and know exactly what it is you are taking by doing your own educated research before you decide to go ahead with a drug or even an herb for that matter.. There are also many herbs that can cause miscarriage that women aren't aware of.. You can do a search online to get a list of ones that are good to stay away from... I just think many women have unneccessary miscarriages because they aren't educated about what is ok and not ok during pregnancy.. We need to be in control of our own bodies and do the research on our own because doctors do not know everything and they don't always tell you what you can and cannot eat...
Good luck and happy pregnancy's to all!!

Kristin

Young Young Young

Well, I'm going to be 16. And I know what you're thinking. I am horribly young. And yes, I was/am scared. It may sound weird, but I knew I was pregnant way before my missed period. I just had this huge hunch. These past few days have been crazy. And my boyfriend's being really really supportive. It's hard to be around food because of the smells. But I eat all the time. My boobs are huge. And today I go get a real test from the gynecologist. We had to tell our parents. And the moms were supportive. My dad on the other hand freaked.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to look at the plus side. I'm going to graduate early, and I'm really excited to be pregnant. I'm keeping a progess report on whats going on inside of me.

Wish me luck guys!! It's such a blessing.
And good luck with all of you. There are many good things to come for us.

rantings of a frustrated woman

ok, I have something to vent about. Do they purposly make everything as complicated as possible or what? Ok, let me explain myself real quick. I just recently found out I'm preg. Although I wish i didn't, I am going to need some assistance with the medical care, so I'm going to have to get on med. and etc. So I call the med. people, they tell me, ok, go to this clinic, have a test done, and then get ahold of us again. So I go to the clinic do the test they have and, of course, it shows I'm preg. So I get ahold of the med. office again and they tell me, oh, sorry we dont exept the test they gave you, but we will exept one from these other people. So I got ahold of them, and you can only go in on a certain days (which by the way the next day is about 2 weeks away) and only during cetain hours and you have to do all kinds of other stuff to go along with it, not to mention its on the completely opposite side of town and I cant drive. So, if i ever get this part taken care of I'll get ahold of the med. office again and Hopefully they'll except this test, then I can finally get the approval process started. And that takes about 30-45 days to find out if your approved. I'm around (quessing here) 3, maybe 4 months along now and because of all this I still have yet to see the doctor even once. I got ahold of the doctor around here that accepts patients while there med. is pending but the soonest opening she had (which I took obviously) isnt for another 3 almost 4 weeks. SO, all in all, Im gonna be like 6 months pregnant by the time all this is done with. Its just SO frustrating I literally cried.
Ok sorry for the long post but I had to get it all out. I know its not really a story like is probably expected on here but I fiquer I cant be the only one whos delt with this.

In Spite of the Sickyness, I'm Feeling Good

Let me say one thing first: The pull out method does not work as a good form of birth control!

I am 19 years old and I got married back in September of 2005. I took a home preg. test on Wednesday and it tested positive. I am pregnant with my first child! At first I was freaking out a little bit, but now I am happy. My husband Greg is estatic. He has been wanting a family for a long time, and now he is going to get one! I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I have estimated the due date to be sometime around Valentine's Day 2007.

Also, morning sickness... why is it called morning sickness if I have it 24-7? Well, atleast I'm only nauseated and I'm not throwing up. I can't wait until the first trimester is over so I can get rid of this sicky feeling. When they told me about the weird food cravings, I wasn't expecting wanting buttery hashbrowns and ranch dressing!

Wow, these are going to be some crazy nine months...

Third Pregnacy and sick, sick ,sick

My boyfriend and I found out I was pregnant when I was only 4 weeks. I felt really good and felt no morning sickness like I did with my two beautiful girls. Then all of a sudden around week 6 it set in!!! Morning sickness like you would not believe. I have tried everything. Ginger tea, sour candies, lemons, crackers I mean everything. Nothing seem to work. I am so miserable and so depressed. I have my second visit with my doctor this week, hopefully he will give me something to subside the nausea and vomiting.
