pregnant with twins

When I found out that I was pregnant with twins I was scared to death. I thought how am I going to take care of two babies and my nineteen month old son. But then I got into support groups trying to understand and learn more about my situation better. So if I can do it, then anybody can do it. I just try to ask as many questions as possible so that I can have a peace of mind (most of the time). But I'm happy to have the chance to have babies, after all doctors told me that Ii could never have kids and I'm about to have three in all. All I have to say is that talk to your doctors about everything and look up information that you dont understand. Get into some support groups, talk to other mothers maybe they can answer your questions to where you understand them.

My world

I would like to take you into my world....Today I found out that I've been extremely blessed with 2 beatufil babies....I am 21yrs of age and I am a first time mom...@ 13 weeks. I went to take an ultrasound today and the doctor told me that he only saw 1 baby. After that, I received a call from my mom telling me about her dream, visualizing 2babies. I then asked the doctor was he sure about the # that he saw, and he proceeded to view the ultrasound again...and there it was, my other beautiful baby was hiding on the side.
I had no idea i was carrying 2 babies...my height is 5"4" and I gained only 7 pounds since the pregnancy...now weighing 134lbs. My stomach is not noticeable, and I was only sick for the first month. I seem to be more tired than normal, and I dont have much energy as I did before. But I notice alot of movement in my stomach, and I feel like I weigh 150lbs. I don't feel that bad like at the beginning of the pregnancy. But I still look good and I have prepared myself to look worse. But I can't wait til it's all over. My husband is excited and so am I. I'll keep you updated

could it be twins - and i dont know...?

im just curious if anyone out there has been pregnant with twins and not known it until close to the end of their pregnancy... is it true that twins can hide behind eachother and even the ultrasounds dont pick it up? i am 31 weeks pregnant and have had two ultrasounds that show just one baby. however i have had many people including 2 nurses ask me when my twins are due! i am 5'9" and not overweight but i have gained more than i should this pregnancy (and with my first) and having a boy, im all belly. i have twin cousins on my moms side so it could be possible... so anyone out there thats had hiding twins let me know - thanks!

Could it possible?

I'm 31 and going through my third pregnancy. I have a daughter, she's 5 and I had lost my second baby due to a viral infection. It took me three years to gain the confidence to get pregnant again. My husband was the one who constantly refused to have another one. After a year talking over it, we finally decided to try again.

I am having hypertension, am on medical treatment, and planning for pregnancy is essential. To cut short, after six months of trying, finally I'm pregnant. As usual, I have to make frequent visits to the hospital for assessment.

I realise that by the end of the day, I am unusually extremely tired, and morning sickness is frequent. I feel uncomfortable after each meal, especially after dinner. I'm experiencing abdominal pain from 6 weeks until now (now I'm 11 weeks pregnant). The doctor told me it is ok.

Finally, I can't take it anymore. I went to see a friend (who is a doctor and owns a clinic) and told her about the discomfort. She thought I looked bigger than the age of my pregnancy and decided to do the ultrasound. I'm carrying twins!!!

I love to have twins even though it means double in everything. But I have my own worries. Having hypertension and carrying twins make me in the red zone level. That will mean extra attention and visits to the hospital.

I don't mind those as long as the babies and I are healthy. My husband and I are very excited. Can't wait till they are born. But I do hope everthing will be fine for me and the babies.
