Questions

ok all...I have so many questions! Is it normal to have constant minor aches in your lower stomach? Is it normal to have...ummm...not sure what to call it. It is like LOL mucus when I go to the restroom. Nothing huge, but still...definitely different. Is this normal??? Thank you for all your advice.

Sylvia

Wow, that was quick.

My husband and I just got married last month and a few days ago we found out that I'm already 5 weeks pregnant! I'm 22 and he's 26 and we're currently living in base housing because he's in the Air Force. We figure I must have gotten pregnant the first week after our honeymoon! I was always kind of scared that it would be really hard to get pregnant but I guess I had nothing to worry about. We were so busy with an out of state move and military stuff that I barely noticed the sore breasts, the growth (a D to a DD almost overnight), the headaches, and the late period until I was 5 days late. I took two home pregnancy tests and each of those days I couldn't help myself from double checking that the tests really said positive. I must have done that about 12 times a day. Today we went to the clinic and I had a blood test so that I could get a referal for an off base OBGYN. By now the morning sickness has kicked in so bad that I could barely stand being in the clinic. Everything I smell literally makes me sick. We're planning on telling my parents and family within the next couple of days. I wanted to wait but my husband has a big mouth so his side (and everyone he works with) already knows so I kind of have to tell my side now. Don't want them getting jealous. As far as the nausea goes, I've noticed that things with strong smells (coffee, aftershave, etc) will make me want to throw up but as long as I keep a little something in my stomach even though i don't have much of an appetitie really seems to help. It's when I'm hungry that its the worst. I'm petrified that something is going to go wrong with this pregnancy but keeping a positive attitude and the stress level low helps. And as far as I'm concerned there's nothing wrong with making your partner go out in the middle of the night to 7-11 to get you Ben and Jerry's and potato chips even though you're only 1st trimester! :) Good luck to everyone.

Frist trimester

This is my third pregnancy and this one is very diffrent from the other two, I was very sick all the through with my two girls. This touch wood has been better although the tiredness seams to be getting on top of me. Although it does'nt help with having 2 under 5. The sickness only comes on when i am really tired so i try to rest my body but my head keeps my on the go. I'm just looking forward to the 12 weeks scan to make sure the baby is ok then i think my mind will let me rest. good luck to all you pregnant ladys out there it a roller couster but its worth it.
