Story of Infertility

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 1 1/2 years. At the beginning I thought it was going to happen pretty fast and I was not thinking about infertility issues because we both have children from previous marriages. After trying for such along time I finally talked to my Dr. about the issue I was having.

He suggested that I have a HCG test done to check my fallopian tubes for blockage. The test showed that both were blocked, and I was told that I would not be able to conceive unless I had surgery to unblock my tubes. I was devastated, and in shock. How could this happen? I was not sure right away if I was going to have the surgery or not. My husband and I continued our sexual relationship as normal, not putting a lot of pressure on the best days to conceive because it obviously wouldn’t do us any good.

I cancelled my first Dr's appointment that was made. They wanted to do blood work and an ultrasound on day 21 of my cycle to check some things out. I just wasn’t feeling up to going right away. That was in August of 07, here it is October 8 07, and I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant.

Both my husband and I are in shock, and somewhat in misbelief, the dr. said it wasn’t possible! When I found out my tubes were blocked I searched the internet and read many great stories on how they were able to get pregnant naturally, I never thought that I would be able to share a story like that, but here it is! The only thing I can really contribute to getting pregnant is a lot of prayer and hope. I never gave up the possibility that it could still happen, and I prayed every night that it would. I have also been told that when you stop putting so much pressure on trying to get pregnant, you will get pregnant! I am living proof of that. To others out there that are going through the same situation I wish you all the best of luck. Keep praying and trying and it will happen to you!

How I found out!!

I found out due to cravings that I was having for foods that I occasionally eat and had no inclination from; this is because my parents would normally prepare the food. These cravings lasted for 3 days and the longer I took to get it the sicker I felt.

Having all the symptoms but started bleeding today

Ok, I’ve been having pregnancy symptoms for about 2 weeks especially nausea, tender breast, fatigue, and mood swings. But today I started bleeding it's about time for my period could I be pregnant still? The beginning of my last period was 8/31/07 my fiancé and me have been having unprotected sex everyday for last 2 mths. We are trying to conceive could this be implantation bleeding or just a normal period? I’m 26 and looking forward to my first child.

God's Gift

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a year. Have been on the pill for over 10 years. As soon as I told my doctor we were ready she put me on clomid and a pill to jump-start my period. Over the last year nothing has happen. Finally in July we decided to get off the pills and let god takes his course. Since that we have become pregnant and could not be happier. Sometimes you have to get off the medicine and let life take it course as long as both you and your partner are both ok.
